Dear Councilmembers Soto-Martínez, Jurado, and Hernandez,
Thank you for voting no on Councilmember Park’s Lot 701 motion during the City Council meeting on October 7, 2025. Your votes affirmed that Los Angeles should honor its commitments to build deeply affordable and supportive housing at Venice Dell.
Your “no” votes help protect the City’s integrity and send a clear signal that creating new hurdles for affordable housing is unacceptable.. We hope the Council will adopt the Coastal Commission modifications, return the Venice Dell to the City’s the housing pipeline, and avoid additional studies that would cause more delay.
We are grateful for your leadership and appreciate your commitment to housing justice across the City.
